Since 2018 the Henderson Police Department has operated the Cops Connecting with Kids program (originating in 2013) to offer middle school students trips to Walt Disney World that build trust and encourage future law enforcement careers.
Over 64 students have joined these trips since the local launch.
Lions Club will test its new people-moving trolley at the Arts & Crafts Fair on Oct.
3 and 4 at Audubon State Park to improve shuttle service for visitors. Upgrades include a raised canopy for easier boarding.

The HCHS football team released its statistics from four games — the numbers detail scores and yardage from the season so far.
Local fans can use this data to track the team's performance as the season continues.
